GIGONDAS
GRANDE RESERVE
- Pierre Amadieu -

This Cuvée is produced since the extreme vintage 2003 from chosen grapes of Grenache and Syrah planted on the slopes of the Romane-Machotte Terroir where one vine produces less than 1 bottle.

Late harvests made by hand, the selection of the most ripened bunches are followed by an extreme wine-making process (Cuvaison during one month and umballasting) for a smooth and powerful extraction.

The ageing (15 months in one year-old barrels) is very elegant and the finesse of the French wood is perfectly integrated, respecting and revealing the complex style, the fragrances of each variety.

The colour is deep and dark, the nose is very intense and complex with jammy notes of plum, fig as well as delicate fragrances of red and black fruits, laurel and leather. The length in mouth is endless developing spicy and peppery notes.

Perfect companion for powerful dishes such as mousse of truffle, beef stew or wild boar this wine can be laid down for 5 to 10 years. To appreciate at room temperature (17°C).

Bottled on the 12th April 2005, unfiltered (20 000 bottles).
