To protect carefully our old vines.
Our vineyard is 45 years old on average guarantying a very high level quality. The old vines of the domain correspond to the first plantations of my grand father. With less than a bottle per vine stock we value manual and traditional labor, from cutting to harvest.
To respect soils, landscapes and vines.
The vineyard is planted by respecting the natural hillside topography. It is run the most naturally possible and high slopes are equipped with drainage or ground covered to limit the erosion. Yields are limited (around thirty hectoliters per hectare on average) for an optimal concentration of the aromas. To obtain an optimal grapes maturation we do not hesitate to take time to thin out leaves and to select bud. Grapes are harvested by hand for a perfect sorting.
To respect and value each terroir, a family tradition for quality wines.
From wine making up to the bottling I am constantly in research of the perfect balance between the wine grower’s know-how and terroirs’ expression. For each wine of our range, I want elegant wines endowed with a good freshness and a pleasant fruity taste respecting familial tradition and appellations’ typicity – in particular for the AOC Gigondas of which my grand father was one of founders. It is also this kind of wine I select by friends wine growers of the Rhône Valley. Very careful of their terroirs and involved in our approach, we work in perfect harmony since the creation of our company in 1929.
