Romane Machotte - OAC Gigondas Rosé

bouteille

Bleeding of Grenache, Syrah & Cinsault

Vines at the origin of this Gigondas rosé take root on the rocky hillsides and the clay-limestone of the family estate.

At the beginning of October, the grapes are harvested by hand under the still warm autumn sun. This Gigondas rosé is then elaborated by bleeding only few hours after the putting into vats of Grenache, Syrah and Cinsault grapes. It is followed by low temperature fermentation in order to protect the fruity of the grape. The quantity remains low, fluctuating according to the year.

Shinny and steady color is followed in mouth with fruity aromas of raspberry, wild strawberries and peach. The roundness and the richness blend with floral flavours which pleasantly come for a long and sweet final.

To drink its youth, chilled, it will give a Provence style to your aperitifs or will accompany marvellously Asian cooking, a Carribbean dishes or the friendly barbecue.
