The 2023 Gigondas Romane Machotte checks in as 80% Grenache and 20% Syrah brought up in tuns and oak barrels. It’s a forward, textured, medium-bodied effort that has attractive red fruit, spice, and some crushed stone-like nuances. A classic Gigondas, it will drink nicely right out of the gate.
