Based on 65% Grenache, 20% Mourvèdre, and 15% Syrah and aged 18 months in 15% new French oak with the balance in foudre, the 2023 Gigondas Domaine Grand Romane offers juicy berries, leather, peppery herbs, and sandalwood on the nose. It’s medium-bodied, with a firm, focused mouthfeel, solid tannic grip, and outstanding length. Give it a year or two and drink over the following 10-12 years. Drink 2027-2039.
