The vineyard of the C\u00f4tes du Ventoux includes a long tradition due to the presence of vines since the antiquity. The papers of Caesar and Pline testify of it.
From the Fontaine de Vaucluse where P\u00e9trarque dreamed about the beautiful Laure de Noves, to the top of Mont Ventoux he reached through the Abbey of S\u00e9nanque, it is easy to imagine the poet P\u00e9trarque walking in vines, stopping here and there to feed its imagination.

The Controlled Appellation<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

On the 27th of July 1973 the Controlled Appellation C\u00f4tes du Ventoux, became AOC Ventoux in 2008, was created thanks to its quality and typicality. Red, ros\u00e9 and white wines are made according to a yield of not more than 50 hectoliters per hectare and not less than 11% Vol. of alcohol. Red and ros\u00e9 wines are produced from Grenache, Syrah, Cinsault and Mourv\u00e8dre. For white wines, Clairette, Bourboulenc and white Grenache are the dominant grape varieties.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Located on the slopes of the Mount Ventoux (1912m), the C\u00f4tes du Ventoux vineyard gets a lot of sun and is sheltered from the northern wind called Mistral.
