It’s blossom time on Gigondas’ hillsides, a crucial stage to the new vintage<\/strong>.<\/strong> It comes along with a particular busy season in our plots. We have to constantly keep in mind that the quality of the vintage takes place above all in vineyard ; with even more importance when the weather is hectic like this year. So far 2016 weather worried a lot of wine growers, in particular those hit by spring storms and frost. Eventually when clouds are away we admire such beautiful sunlight in our vineyard. Dans la cave de la Machotte et du village, les Gigondas rouges 2015 s\u2019affinent<\/strong> et ne seront mis en bouteilles que l\u2019ann\u00e9e prochaine. Les blancs<\/a> et les ros\u00e9s<\/a> 2015 ont tous \u00e9t\u00e9 embouteill\u00e9s et s’expriment avec rondeur et richesse, sur une dominance de fruit, avec un peu moins de vivacit\u00e9 que les 2014. With already\u00a0fantastic scores and accolades<\/strong> by Wine Spectator’s and Decanter’s journalists (ranking our Gigondas in the top three<\/strong> out of a panel of 83 Gigondas! ) the quality of our vintages 2013 and 2014 is now and once again greeted<\/strong> by Josh Raynolds (Vinous, May\u201916) and Jeb Dunnuck (Robert Parker, March\u201916).<\/p>\n

\u201cReaders looking for solid value, as well as good typicity, from the Southern Rhone should check out the releases from Pierre Amadieu\u201d.<\/strong>\u00a0In his last review, Jeb Dunnuck\u00a0recommends\u00a0our red wines, but also\u00a0our ’15 ros\u00e9s, to drink over the coming summer.<\/p>\n

Coming from higher elevation vineyard, our ’13 and ’14 Gigondas <\/strong>Romane Machotte<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0Domaine Grand Romane<\/a>\u00a0stand out<\/strong> in these two difficult vintages as solid and consistent efforts, developing impressive fruits, elegant style and freshness<\/strong>. Our \u201914 Cairanne<\/a>\u00a0and Vacqueyras<\/a> are also particularly\u00a0rewarded with 90\/100 points<\/strong>.<\/p>\n
