In Gigondas, we have just finished harvesting the last grapes, which are perfectly ripe thanks to the magnificent sun that continues to shine on our beautiful region. Now, the team in the winery is hard at work for the vinifications which will last a few more weeks. This 2021 vintage is particularly late compared to previous years, notably because of the severe spring frost. The rest of the season went smoothly, which allowed us to harvest beautiful fruit. The first juices are very expressive, with a moderate tannic presence.

Gigondas Romane Machotte<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

To celebrate the 50th anniversary of our prestigious appellation, we are highlighting our Romane Machotte cuv\u00e9e. This is the first Gigondas cuv\u00e9e made by Pierre Amadieu Sr. following the acquisition of the Romane and Machotte properties in the 1950s. Since then, it has followed the evolution of the estate. The Grenache and Syrah vines find their expression in the sandy marls of the Cretaceous. The altitude of the vines gives a pleasant freshness. The balance of this cuv\u00e9e is preserved by a gentle vinification and careful ageing in old tuns, in order to bring out the richness of the wine. When you taste it, you will keep in your mouth for a long time the aromas of the garrigue, which borders the estate, its spicy flavours, small black and red fruits, and a pleasant sensation of mineral finesse. It is a wine of pleasure which enhances an entire meal.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
