It was the coldest winter for these last 15 years, with a pluviometric deficit which was not compensated in spring. July was very warm and August rather cold with some rains. Syrah grapes were very qualitative. For Gigondas, the vintage 2006 is characterized by full-body and sharpness. In mouth, a lot of sharpness and balance with a beautiful acidity. A very pleasant year, with some fruit and interessant by its complexity. Can be drunk in its youth, without loosing its good ageing capacity.
