The last grapes are just harvested, and we are currently busy working in the winery. After a particularly dry year in 2017, the 2018 vintage began with a completely different climatic pattern. We were even more vigilant to maintain a good sanitary state in the vineyard and our high altitude terroir has been our ally.
The profile of the wines is not yet established, but we are already providing you some details of this new vintage.

1929 - 2019: 90 years, let's celebrate!

In 2019, we will celebrate the ninetieth anniversary of the Pierre Amadieu Winery. This is the opportunity for us to mark the occasion with a “tribute” wine. 90 years after the first bottle signed by Pierre Amadieu, our grand-father, we choose the Gigondas Romane-Machotte red 2016 to honor the man he was with a special labeling.
2019 will be an eventful year, we will tell you more soon, stay tuned!

2016 belongs to the best years of Gigondas

We present you the 2016 vintage for which the climatic conditions were perfect to produce powerful and well balanced wines. The 2016s are already very enjoyable to taste. With a beautiful aromatic intensity, they are full of fruit and have a good structure thanks to perfectly ripe tannins.
These wines are widely acclaimed by the press. Indeed, all the journalists rewarded the quality of our work for this vintage. Our Gigondas Domaine Grand Romane 2016 obtained 92/100 on the Robert Parker Wine Advocate and on Jeb Dunnuck review. Our Gigondas Romane Machotte 2016 received 94/100 from the Wine Enthusiast. 92/100 as well for our Vacqueyras La Grangelière 2016 in the Wine Spectator.

After 24 months of ageing in foudres and 2 years in bottle, our Gigondas Le Pas de l’Aigle is now available in the 2014 vintage. On the finesse and fruit, with a lot of freshness, this cuvée is already enjoyable now.

Focus on our Vinsobres Les Piallats

(Re)discover the northernmost appellation in the southern Rhône Valley. This perfect blend of Syrah and Grenache will seduce you!
I particularly appreciate the terraces of the Piallats which offer us a full bodied cuvée with notes of spices and small fruits with pretty, velvety tannins. We are currently selling the 2015 vintage, which received the score of 90/100 from the Wine Spectator.
