Vin de Pays de Méditerranée, Viognier of the Rhône Valley

Seductive by the richness of its aromas and floral notes, this dry white wine surprisingly combines liveliness and roundness!

viognier

Viognier, emblematic grape variety of the Rhône Valley

Originally from the Alpine region, the cradle of Viognier is located in the northern Côtes du Rhône, Condrieu and Ampuis. It almost disappeared during the phylloxera crisis, and in 1986, only 20 hectares of it remained planted in France! But since then, it has become popular and it can be found throughout the Rhône Valley and Languedoc, covering more than 3000 hectares.
The white wines from Viognier have a striking aromatic complexity. They offer an abundant palette of fruity and floral flavours. These dry white wines give an astonishing sensation of sweetness on the palate. Viognier wines are real epicurean wines, which bring immediate pleasure.
