The lightly hued 2023 Gigondas Domaine Grand Romane Blanc (100% Clairette) is crisp and lively, with a fruit-forward style in its fresh pineapple and minty, floral nuances. It’s medium-bodied on the palate, has a fresh, focused mouthfeel, and good acidity. Despite the overall forward style, it’s showing well today, and I’ve had plenty of older vintages of this cuvée, and it can age surprisingly well.
