Tasted out of the bottle, the 2019 Gigondas Le Pas De L’Aigle showed beautifully with its kirsch liqueur, blackberry, herbes de Provence, and toasted spice-driven aromas and flavors. Medium to full-bodied, pure, and seamless on the palate, it’s another vintage of this cuvée that will have a lengthy, broad drink window. It should keep nicely through 2035.
