The full-bodied, concentrated 2017 Gigondas Romane Machotte is dense and velvety, with plenty of black cherry fruit, mocha accents and hints of garrigue. An 80-20 blend of Grenache and Syrah, it picks up pepper and licorice notes on the finish.
