Fine yellow robe; peach fruit, soft aroma, has a little aniseed direction that helps, dried fruits, butter also. There are low-key oak notes. The palate springs out well, carries a fresh outer, a firm inner, has a firm grapey flavour. This is stout, for la table, has tang also. The Clairette rose gives a note of rose petal near the finish, joli that is. Harvested 10 September. There’s plenty here to involve the mind as well as the palate.
