clear yellow robe; the bouquet has a tinkle of clarity, is a little simple, shows white fruits with a note of nut paste, a touch of reduction. The palate has a gentle style, bears cosy gras richness, a floral tremor, a flavour of white fruit jam, greengage, with a nutty tone towards the close. The finish is solid enough to pair with fish such as halibut, haddock. It’s a regular sort of Châteaunuef blanc, safe but not inspiring. The best bet is to drink around four years’ old, with greater evolution, variety and stimulus.
