Another beautiful wine from this large estate is the 2015 Gigondas Domaine Grand Romane, which is 65% Grenache, 20% Mourvèdre and the rest Syrah. Coming from higher elevation parcels and brought up in a mix of used and new barrels, it offers tons of peppery herbs, lavender, blackcurrants and spice aromatics. Medium to full-bodied, round, textured and balanced, it’s a rock solid Gigondas to drink over the coming 7-9 years.
