Vinsobres
Les Piallats
Terroir
Vinsobres is the northernmost cru of the Southern Rhone Valley. Located at an altitude of 350 m, the terraces of Les Piallats are southeast facing and composed of grey marl and banks of gravel of fluvial origin. In this terroir, Grenache, yet at its northern limit, reaches optimum ripeness and Syrah develops an astonishing freshness.
Winemaking
Harvested by hand, then destemmed, the grapes are vinified traditionally. 12 months ageing in foudres and old barrels.
Tasting notes
This altitude terroir gives to this cuvée its subtlety and freshness. It possesses a beautiful aromatic expression dominated by notes of red fruits (cherry, strawberry,…).
