Dark red; large, grilled bouquet, soaked red cherries or griottes, has a fat sunny outlook, a curve of ripeness, is typical Cairanne in that respect, with the slight refinement. The palate bears slightly peppery content, cooked red fruits, some dynamism in the tannins which are chewy, raw. This is the first bottling, is demanding, the next will have had some large barrel raising extra. It’s rugged, but genuine.
