Drink Rhône Gigondas Domaine Grand Romane 2019

very dark robe, black more than red; the bouquet is effusive, thorough, brims up on large black berry lozenges, has a buccaneer style, hints of oak. The palate is swell, rolling with wavy black-toned content, and agile tannins, good freedom in its delivery. It’s a polished, slightly international, state of the art Gigondas, which is about half cellar/human, half local ID for now. The longer you wait, the more it will be local. Its gusto is appealing. The aftertaste steers some oak into the picture.
