Full, appealing red robe, its brightness handsome. The bouquet is replete, full of red berry fruits, a good summer mix of raspberry and strawberry, carries some of the vintage sweetness. The palate bears an intense level of red cherry, tangy, charry stone flavour, is decisive and very clear on the finish. It has a little developing still to do, and will emerge with a more open display in a few months. The fruit is under restraint, but well cut. It’s a serious Tavel, for boldly flavoured dishes.
