Looking first at the single white from Pierre Amadieu, the 2016 Cairanne Blanc Les Hautes Rives offers ample white peach, toasted bread, honeysuckle and a hint of minerality, and it’s medium-bodied, nicely textured and balanced, with a great finish. Made from a barrel fermented blend of 50% Clairette, 30% Grenache Blanc and 20% Roussane, it’s going to shine on the dinner table, and age gracefully.
