The harvest of the 2019 vintage is now over. This vintage, marked by exceptional heat waves, offers us grapes with an irreproachable sanitary condition. The Gigondas terroir, combining freshness of altitude and clay soils, has withstood drought and heat. The cuvées show a nice potential with concentration, nice acidity and roundness on the palate. Here are the first details about this new vintage

New adventures in Cairanne
In this anniversary year for our estate (90 years!), we are pleased to announce the recent acquisition of Domaine les Hautes Cances in Cairanne. This young appellation is particularly close to our hearts; we have been linked to it with Les Hautes Rives cuvée since 2014. We will now work on an 18-hectare vineyard whose plots are mainly located on the heights of Cairanne. We therefore find our favourite terroirs with vines on the hillsides and at altitude, exposed to the Mistral to promote the freshness of the wines as much as possible.
The estate is equipped with a recent vinification and ageing cellar. It is semi-buried and allows the grape harvest to enter by gravity.
2019 was our first vintage on these plots, so it will take a little more patience to taste these new wines
90 ans, acte 2
On June 14, we celebrated the 90th anniversary of the creation of the first Pierre Amadieu cuvee with our partners, friends and suppliers. To pay tribute to the creator of the Romane Machotte vintage, we went back in time with this vintage from 2016 (anniversary package) to 1978!
We were surprised by these old vintages still full of freshness.

This summer, Marie once again organized her Tasting Workshops, which focused on the history of our estate in honour of the 90th anniversary of its creation.
3 exceptional evenings where we were able to share our wines and our know-how in a good mood and conviviality.

Diner in the vineyard
Guests of all nationalities were able to discover in an original way our region, our terroirs and our wines of Gigondas while enjoying a meal specially prepared by a chef with local products.
