Discovering our Gigondas terroirs!

Dear Sir or Madam,
Dear lovers of our terroirs,

Spring is slowly settling in the vines. As I watched nature awaken around our beautiful village, I wanted to tell you the geological history of it, at the origin of our very special terroirs.

People quickly understood the particularly interesting geographical and geological situation of Gigondas. Objects of everyday life dating back to prehistoric times have been found, but it is in antiquity that the cultivation of the vine dates back to. And since then, many proofs of Gondasian viticulture have been found throughout history.

In order to understand the different soils that make up our vineyard, here is a video where I explain the subtleties.

Marie Amadieu, daughter of Claude and Muriel, joins the estate

A graduate of the Purpan School of Agricultural Engineering in Toulouse, she worked at Crédit Agricole in the heart of Champagne before returning to Gigondas in January. My cousin takes care of the reception at our cellar door, wine tourism and the follow-up of shipments. You will certainly have the opportunity to get to know him by visiting Gigondas or at one of the upcoming Vignerons Independants’ shows.

It's moving in the cellar door!

Marie will offer themed tasting evenings. We will keep you informed of these events during the summer months!

New this season: the return of the Gigondas Rosé

With the renewal of spring, we present you the vintage 2017.

Building on the success of the 2016 vintage last year, our Gigondas Romane Machotte rosé was quickly exhausted. It is available again for the greatest pleasure of your taste buds. Rediscover its bright colour, its aromas of raspberry and wild strawberry, as well as its structure that reveals its high altitude terroir. A true gastronomic rosé, it will accompany you throughout a meal. We were seduced by the agreements obtained with salmon in soy sauce, grilled lobsters, red mullet or white meats (chicken marinated in thyme etc…).
