Vignoble Pierre Amadieu

Dear Sir or Madam

The arrival of spring is imminent in Gigondas! The return of mild temperatures is slowly bringing nature back to life after a rather cold winter. We can see the buds getting ready to come out of their dormancy on the last vines we still have to prune.
We hope that this revival bodes well for this new vintage that is starting!

The Gigondas Domaine Grand Romane ranked among the best wines in the world!

We are honoured to have our Gigondas Domaine Grand Romane 2017 ranked 22nd in the top 100 wines by Wine Spectator, the leading American wine magazine with 3 million readers worldwide.

AOC Gigondas celebrates its 50th anniversary!

This year, the winegrowers of the Gigondas appellation have the joy of celebrating 50 years of becoming a Cru des Côtes du Rhône. A year rich in events which will allow us to retrace together the history of this magnificent terroir.

Our family history is intimately linked to the village of Gigondas.
Pierre Amadieu Sr was one of the first to put the name of Gigondas on his bottles in 1929. For nearly 40 years he never stopped promoting and defending the appellation, for which he actively participated in the recognition as a Cru in 1971.

It is in this continuity that Pierre and Jean-Marie vinify today’s vintages with emotion.
